Workers covered by an occupational health and safety management system

Norte Energia manages the workplace environments of the Belo Monte and the Pimental HPPs, and of the administrative offices in Altamira (PA) and administrative headquarters in Brasília (DF). In 2024, the Company had 425 employees and 1,259 outsourced workers, all included in the Company’s occupational health and safety system, ensuring a safe environment in compliance with current standards. 

Norte Energia uses an Occupational Health and System based on NBR ISO 45001, in compliance with Regulatory Standards and the Equator Principles, focusing on reducing occupational risks associated with power generation operations and support activities. The occupational health and safety system follows the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle and involves leadership and engagement at all hierarchical levels, including active consultation with workers.
