The main accidents involving outsourced workers recorded in 2024 were characterized as: superficial abrasions, with 6 reports; followed by cuts (3), including a serious accident with a machete; bone fractures (2); animal bites (2); and other occurrences. The main accidents involving direct employees were: bone fracture (1), contusion (1) and minor abrasion (1).
All workplace accidents, whether involving our own employees or service providers, are reported, analyzed and investigated. The Company follows Normative Instruction (IN‑DAFRI-005), which defines guidelines for accident investigation, in line with current legislation and industry best practices. The causes of accidents are identified and corrective and preventive actions are implemented to eliminate or reduce risks, preventing future occurrences.
Norte Energia adopts an ongoing strategy to eliminate hazards and minimize accident risks, aligned with the hierarchy of controls. We invest in the digitalization and automation of occupational safety and health processes, implementing risk management dashboards and Business Intelligence (BI) reports to increase the transparency of our processes. Measures such as using drones for inspections and incident energy studies reduce exposure to electrical and height-related risks.
Management and Continuous Improvement System
The Company maintains an occupational health and safety management system, recording accidents and incidents so that they can be investigated and critically analyzed. Based on this critical analysis, effective corrective and preventive actions are proposed and implemented, following the principle of continuous improvement.
Calculation of man-hours of risk exposure (MhR)
The calculation of man-hours of risk exposure is done in accordance with ABNT NBR 14280, which establishes statistical parameters to generate OSH indicators. The risk management process complies with Law No. 6514/77 and Ordinance No. 3214/78, in addition to being in compliance with other regulatory standards, namely NR-09, NR-10, NR-11, NR-12, NR-13, NR-15, NR-16, NR-17, NR-20, NR-23, NR-26, NR-33 and NR-35, and with the Navy Standards for diving activities
