Norte Energia prioritizes the safety of its dams and associated structures, adopting a robust Dam Safety Plan (PSB), in accordance with the National Dam Safety Policy (Law No. 12334/2010, updated by Law No. 14066/2020). In addition, the Company has an Emergency Response Plan (ERP), with specific guidelines for risk prevention and mitigation and which includes a rapid response system that ensures the safety of communities in the Self-Rescue Zone. These measures include regular safety inspections, instrument automation, modernization of the Emergency Notification System (SNE), and improvements to evacuation routes and training.
