Amazon environmental protection pillar

FOUR PROJECTS selected to be implemented along the Xingu River Basin through the Floresta Viva MATCHFUNDING initiative.

825 SPECIES REGISTERED through FAUNA monitoring actions. These include, in particular, 28 new species of fish, described with the direct or indirect participation of researchers linked to a collaboration agreement between Norte Energia and the Federal University of Pará. Twenty of these species are endemic to the Xingu area.

98,594 TURTLE HATCHLINGS released between 2018 and 2024 as part of the Amazon River Turtles project. By 2024, OVER 61,000 HATCHLINGS WERE RELEASED.

Completion of the REGION’S FIRST GREEN CORRIDOR, with the delivery of a solar-powered catamaran and the first electric voadeira speedboat of the Xingu.
