Norte Energia manages the workplace environments of the Belo Monte and the Pimental HPPs, and of the administrative offices in Altamira (PA) and administrative headquarters in Brasília (DF). All employees and outsourced workers are included in the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety management system, ensuring a safe environment in compliance with current regulations. 

Norte Energia’s health and safety system is based on NBR ISO 45001, in compliance with Regulatory Standards and the Equator Principles, with a focus on reducing occupational risks in power generation operations and support activities. The occupational health and safety system follows the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle and involves leadership and engagement at all hierarchical levels, with active consultation with workers. 

The occupational health of its workers is monitored through the Occupational Health Medical Control Program (OHMCP), which is planned and executed in accordance with NR-07, which includes occupational examinations (admission, periodic, risk change and dismissal checks).
