In October/2024, a general online training practice on human rights was held, lasting 90 minutes, which reached 80.6% of our direct employees. In addition, specific in-person training sessions were held for strategic areas, with the following participation rates:

  • Social and Environmental Superintendence and Indigenous Component Superintendence units: 87% of direct employees;
  • Sustainability: 100%;
  • People and Management: 90%; and
  • Corporate Security: 90.5% of direct and outsourced employees.

Training sessions were also held at the Brasília (DF) office, aimed at senior leadership, including chief executives and superintendents, in addition to a specific module aimed at teams from the Supply, Internal Audit, and Risk, Internal Controls and Compliance departments. Led by a specialized external consultancy, these training sessions lasted 90 minutes and covered fundamental topics on ethics, corporate responsibility, and respect for human rights in business practices.

Also in 2024, we held a thematic training session on Free, Prior and Informed Consultation (FPIC), focusing on the Social and Environmental, Indigenous Component and Sustainability areas. Held in-person in Altamira, the training lasted 16 hours and was led by a specialized external consulting firm with experience in indigenous peoples’ rights and social participation. The initiative reaffirms the Company’s alignment with ILO Convention 169, as well as the principles of respect for cultural diversity and free and informed consent.
